DECLARATION OF
IDENTITY
RICHARD RAY ANDERSON
JANUARY 2021
As I approach my 78th birthday, I’ve decided to
put in writing who I am and where I stand.
When it is finished, I will post it on my blog called “Freedom of
Faith”. For each declaration I will state
my position followed by clarifying comments and an explanation of why I stand
where I do. We live in a day when people
seem to have a desire to know their ancestors…where they came from. So, I want to make things easier for those
who are doing such an investigation of our family line. Let’s have at it.
I AM A FOLLOWER OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. I’m not just a fan or an admirer of His. As a child and youth, I was His fan. Some of the most spiritual moments of my youth
were in Physics class. We studied the
human eye and I was in awe of the design and creation. I assumed there was a Designer and
Creator. We studied the human hand and I
came to the same conclusion. I was a
devout fan of God as the Designer and Creator of the universe. It wasn’t until I was almost done with my
undergraduate degree in Engineering that I decided to follow God. In other words, my beliefs became
personal. I put my life in His hands.
THE ULTIMATE AUTHORITY FOR MY LIFE AND BELIEFS IN THE WORD
OF GOD AS CONTAINED IN THE OLD AND NEW TESTAMENT. In making decisions about our actions, words,
and attitudes, we rely on parents, friends, teachers, the example of others,
media, public opinion, personal desires, etc.
I’ve turned to all the above throughout the years. But I believe the ultimate authority is to be
the Word of God. It contains admonitions
and prohibitions given by the One Who created us, knows us best, and loves us
most. To follow those is for our
benefit. To ignore them is to our
detriment.
I AM A CREATIONIST.
All species have, do, and will make adaptations, but I rejected Darwin’s
Theories of Evolution at an early age.
The idea that all that exists is the result of Time plus Matter plus
Chance is a mathematical absurdity. I
later discovered that the only reason Darwin’s theories haven’t been tossed on
the junk heap of forgotten ideas is that they became the philosophical basis
for eugenics and statist collectivism (both of which we will discuss later).
I AM AN ADVOCATE FOR PRO LIFE. I do not believe we have the right to
exterminate a baby for the purpose of gender selection, eugenics, or birth
control. Since 1973 we have aborted
about 60 million unborn babies. Now,
states are beginning to legalize infanticide.
We must learn where the modern legalized abortion movement started. It’s main driving force was Margaret Sanger
who was a socialist and eugenicist.
Eugenics is the propagation of the “superior races” and the
extermination of the “inferior races”.
She was the number one racist in America. She founded the “Negro Project”. Its purpose was to exterminate blacks. The “Negro Project” evolved into Planned
Parenthood. Where were their abortion
clinics mainly located? In minority
neighborhoods. The result has been that
the number one cause of death in the black community is legalized abortion. I have no objection to women having control
over their own bodies. But, it’s not
their body being exterminated in the cruelest of methods. Life originates with God.
I AM AN ADVOCATE FOR A CONSTITUTIONAL REPRESENTATIVE
REPUBLIC. That is “Of the people, by the
people, and for the people”. I oppose
all statist collectivist forms of government.
That is “Of the state, by the state, and for the state. Statist Collectivist forms of government
include socialism, communism, fascism, progressivism, etc. Socialism is by definition state control of
the production and distribution of goods.
It fails, always has failed, and always will fail because it is based on
a faulty view of human nature. It
demands that humans be conforming and submissive to a small group of pin heads
who make the decisions for the rest of us.
People are not by nature conforming.
We love to make our own choices.
We are not by nature submissive.
We like to be in control of our own lives. So, we rebel and the state has to develop
into a dictatorship to smash the uprising.
So, wherever statist collectivism goes, you will find: rationing, confiscation of property, and
dictatorship. The founders came up with
a superior system. It is a
constitutional representative republic. Thank God every day for the opportunity
to live in this country.
I AM A STEWARD OF THE ENVIRONMENT. I believe we have the responsibility to be
good stewards of the environment God has blessed us with. I believe in the conservation of the glorious
planet we inhabit. We need to strive for
clean air, clean water, and work to pass on to generations to come a planet
that is accommodating for them to prosper.
Unfortunately, the current Climate Change movement has been hijacked by
political scientists who grabbed control of the enormous finances and use them to
force on us their warped political plans of a one world government. They have terrified the masses with mindless
myths of pending doom if we don’t control CO 2 in the atmosphere. They tell us we have to spend billions and
make drastic changes or we will all die in 12 years. The truth is CO 2 makes up only 4/100 of one
percent of the atmosphere. Our planet
has often experienced much higher levels of CO 2 than now and done just
fine. CO 2 is a fertilizer. When it increases plants are greener, more productive,
and healthier. With an increase of CO 2
we could go a long way to wipe out world hunger. The current Climate Change movement wants us
to believe the temperatures will rise, ice caps will melt and oceans will rise
and we will have no room to live and nothing to eat. Remember, these tactics have been used since
1900 to make a small group of politicians wealthy and more powerful. Never listen to any group that tries to
outlaw opposing positions. That is a
sure sign they are lying.
I AM A SUPPORTER OF FREE SPEECH. I was attending classes and/or working on
various campuses when the Free Speech movement swept across the country. Freedom of expression was a priority and practiced
openly. It was the most enriching aspect
of the education community. Professors
took pride in supporting freedom of expression.
Some encouraged students to share opposing positions with their classes. Never was the soil so rich for a real
education. The current trend to cancel
opposing views and limit free speech will be the death of real education. We are now replacing education with
propaganda. We have stopped educating
students and replaced it with indoctrination.
Historically, with the rise in statist collectivism comes indoctrination
rather than education.
I AM A REALIST. In
the early 60’s post modernism was being introduced on campus. It was mainly in freshmen and sophomore
Philosophy classes. I remember it was
dismissed as ridiculous by most. The two
main tenets are: there is no absolute truth and reality is trumped by
perception. As it gains acceptance, post
modernism is very disruptive. It has the
potential to destroy science, the judicial system, mental health practice, and
basic elements of society. The gender
confusion movement and the effort to use gender neutral pronouns are both
anchored in post modernism. To survive,
we need to accept reality and act accordingly.
I AM A HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, AND GREAT
GRANDFATHER. I am blessed to have been
married for 54 years to a loving, beautiful wife and have two wonderful sons
and many grandchildren. God has been
most gracious to me and I am grateful.
