Insanity in D.C.

Ever since January of this year, one of the most common terms we’ve heard is “insanity”.  You can’t listen to a newscast and not hear the term.  In almost every case it is referring to the actions of the Biden administration.  It began with the first day of the Biden administration and it continues today.  Let’s look at some examples.

For 70 + years U.S. presidents have craved energy independence.  It was achieved by President Trump.  The nation rejoiced as we no longer were enslaved by foreign oil.  Prices stabilized and people were happy and many more were employed…until Biden shut down the Keystone Pipeline and took other measures to shut down the American sources of energy.  It was INSANE!  People were thrown out of work overnight.  And Biden lied to us.  He said new jobs would be waiting for those thrown out work.  He said there would be jobs in clean energy waiting that were “high paying union jobs”. There were no jobs waiting.  The insanity expanded when he opened the door for Russia to build its pipeline into Europe undercutting American oil.  Now gas prices are soaring and Biden is begging OPEC to sell us more oil.  It’s insane!

Then the insanity expanded.  Biden opened the southern border and invited the world to come in.  People around the world were told to “Come and get it”.  Everything was promised and the hordes started coming and it hasn’t stopped.  The system was not able to process the numbers.  Policies that had made the situation reasonable during the last administration were trashed and chaos exploded.  The cartels took over the border.  They call the shots.  They are making billions of dollars by means of illegal drugs, sex trade, immigrations fees for migrants, and various crimes.  The Biden administration is the greatest friend these criminals have ever had.  That’s insane!  The administration is implementing drastic measures to curb COVID on Americans and at the same time releasing thousands of COVID infested immigrants into towns all over the U.S.. Then they blame Americans who haven’t been vaccinated.  It’s insane!

The Biden administration howls about people not getting the COVID vaccine and can’t understand why people are hesitant to get the shots.  But they caused the hesitancy!  The Democrat leaders have been sending out mixed messages since January.  Every week they change their tune.  Who’s to know what to think.  One says masks are necessary.  Then, the next week we hear they don’t work.  We’re told that being outdoors means there is little chance of getting COVID.  Then we see the President wearing a mask outdoors.  We see politicians telling people to stay home at the same time they are at large parties  indoors without masks.  Now we find out the main medical voice of guidance was a part of the cause of the outbreak in China.  We are told that the best protection from COVID is natural immunity yet those people are told they need the vaccine.  We are told that very few children have a serious reaction to COVID.  Then we keep the schools closed for a year.  People just don’t believe what they are being told by the administration and it’s for good reason.

The Biden administration has bought into the WOKE movement.  Everything is seen as racist.  They have brought back segregation.  It seems like they want to provoke a civil race war and it turns out that is the goal.  The WOKE movement admits it is Marxist,  anti nuclear family, and violent.  Since its beginning, Marxism starts with chaos.  That is the first step of their strategy for overtaking a country.  Nothing

 

 

would be more chaotic than a race war.  We’ve seen this strategy tried dozens of times around the world in the last 100 years.  It starts with chaos, then socialist takeover, then rebellion, mass murder and oppression, finally dictatorship, followed by collapse.  It’s just insane!

The military community under Biden is being indoctrinated by its leadership into the ideology of our enemies.  Our university and high school students are receiving the same training.  The purpose is to destroy the Constitution and eventually our country.  They use Critical Race Theory and Anti-racism classes to erode the foundations of our civilization.  Those who have reviewed CRT classes inform us that it is just Marxism with a twist.  They simply adjust the base of support from the proletariat to race.  The end result is the same.  It is statist collectivism which is the opposite of a constitutional representative republic.  Equality {equal opportunity) is changed to equity (equal outcomes).  Equity is racist by nature and proven to by hateful by history.

One might think that training our military community in the ideology of our enemies is insane.  The only logical conclusion is that the plan is to someday, use the military against our population to put our enemies in charge of our country.  I don’t see any other rational reason.  Now  we hear that our top military leader was in contact with his parallel officer in China making promises to oppose the directives of our President according to a new Woodward book.  This is insane.

Large corporate companies and educational societies are joining the movement to indoctrinate our people.  They are demanding that employees take “training” to cleanse us of our “illness”.  As I’ve looked at the content of the courses, it is becoming apparent that it contains direct assaults on people with a Biblical based faith (Christians, Jews, etc.) Why?  The Bible calls on the faithful to be “citizens of heaven” first and foremost.  That is blasphemy to statist collectivists.  To them, the state is to be first and foremost (of the state, for the state, by the state).  Besides, the Bible has admonitions and prohibitions that conflict with their beliefs and practices.  So, they attack those folks.  That is also why they hate the Constitution.  It has many references to the Biblical Deity so it has to be replaced.

The evacuation of Afghanistan was insane.  So many blunders and lies.  So many deaths and insane military decisions.  Then the President stands before the public and claims it was a success!  We even left behind millions of dollars of military equipment for the Taliban to use in the future.  Then the administration wants to pass a bill for 3.5 Trillion dollars to enhance their socialist agenda.  Who in their right minds would trust this administration with even 3 thousand dollars?  They simply aren’t smart enough to handle such a massive amount of money in a responsible manner.  It would be like giving the keys of your new car to a drunk.

But all of these examples pale when it comes to the Gender Dysphoria crowd.  They demand we ignore the differences of the genders.  We are amazed each week as they make insane demands about our attitudes about gender.  They want us to stop calling our mothers “mother”.  They demand we use the term “birthing person”.  They think men can give birth and nurse babies.  They demand men compete in women’s sports.  Hospitals aren’t to label new born babies by their actual gender.  They are addicted to changing children’s gender using chemicals that permanently injure young children and then they mutilate them with permanent surgeries before they reach Jr. High.  It’s sick. It’s insane.  Technically, it is a mental illness. Let me explain.  Gender Dysphoria is rooted in Post Modern philosophy.  I ran into it in 1960 in freshman Philosophy.  It has two main tenants.  The first is that there is no Truth.  So, that eliminates the process of science.  It also eliminates the judicial system which sole purpose is to discover

 

 

the truth.  It basically undermines civilization as we know it.  The second is that perception trumps reality.  To them, perception is the core issue.  What is reality is no longer important.  That is the definition of mental illness…a failure to face reality.  So, we are living in a society that is now greatly influenced by the mentally ill.  They are demanding we join them in their delusions or we are cancelled.  That’s insane!

Our public education system and most of our universities are broken.  They have given up on educating our young people. Look at our test scores.  Instead, they are indoctrinating them into their insanity.  They have given up on math and science and logic.  Instead, they focus on directing students into their insane world that idolizes Cuba, China, North Korea, and the other statist collectivist disasters. 

We are cursed by an administration that promotes:

Open borders

Criminal behavior

Higher taxes

Inflation

Abolition of the family

Destruction of our schools

Appeasement of our enemies

Government control of every aspect of our lives

It will not work.  It never has.  Why?  It’s contrary to human nature.  It can’t work.  For any statist collectivism to work, humans have to be conforming and submissive.  We aren’t either one.  We like to make our own choices. We rebel at the idea of being told what choices to make.  We want to choose where to live, what to eat, who to associate with, what to read, etc..  We certainly aren’t submissive…especially to those who have shown themselves to be insane.  We love free speech and we hate to be cancelled by egomaniacs. 

So, what do we do?  We stand up and vomit these insane leaders out of power and replace them with those who understand human nature and the Constitution and that they are accountable to the people and God.

 RACISM

Everyone today is talking about racism.  It's the hot topic in most of the circles of discussion.  The CRT folks want us to believe that whites are naturally racist. Nobody else can be racist. Then we have a movement that is pushing a neo-segregation.  They want to separate the races for graduation exercises and social gatherings and housing.  Equality was the goal for centuries.  Now its equity.  These sound similar, but they are opposites.  Equality is equal opportunity for all.  Equity is equal results for all.  When equity is applied to race, the result is racism. One race is given special advantage in order that all end up with the same results.  Who knows what the result will be of this discussion.  But, we do know that the current trends are dividing us to a point we have not faced since the Civil War.

So, let's step back and look the whole topic of prejudice.  In my 75 plus years, I've lived in many various populations and among various people groups in and out of the USA.  Our high school did not have a majority group.  It was evenly divided racially.  I've lived or worked where whites were the majority and where they were the minority.  In some cases, whites were almost non-existent. Here is what I have observed: PEOPLE TEND TO HAVE AN AFFINITY FOR THOSE WHO ARE LIKE THEM.  You can call that fact whatever you want, but it is true and always has been.  We tend to favor those who are like us.  It may be based on where we live, our school, our gender, our place of birth, and, yes, our race.  If you are from a particular state, you favor teams from that state. If you are from South America, you will root for teams or individuals from South America.

But, this principle gets complicated when two or more factors are in play.  You may favor one group because they are from your home town. But what if the opposing group has a family member of yours on it?  Now you are perplexed.  

This principle is true of all people groups.  It is a human trait.  All humans experience this principle.  I've seen all kinds of racial prejudice.  One race does not have a lock on prejudice.  I would say to the CRT folks, I've seen racial prejudice among all people groups.  The strongest racial prejudice I've seen did not involve whites.  They weren't even present.  They weren't a factor.

One thing is clear.  We can't survive an acceleration of the current divide.  We have to seek a solution.  The solution will begin when we all admit our tendency to favor those who are like us. Then we can focus on what unifies us.  We are all flawed human beings.  We are all created equal in the eyes of our Creator.  We all need restoration and reconciliation with our Creator and with all other people groups.  And we all would do well to adhere to what has come to be known as the Golden Rule. 

 

 

THE DEMISE OF PUBLIC EDUCATION

I was educated in the public school system.  From kindergarten through the middle of the third grade I attended public school in Pittsburgh.  From the middle of the third grade through high school, I attended public school in Cincinnati.  From there, I earned two engineering degrees in a state university.  So, I am a product of the public school system.  My wife spent decades teaching in public schools.  She too was educated in the public school system.

One of the memories I have about public schools is that the core values that I was taught in the public schools matched the core values of my parents.  They were also reinforced by the church and the organizations to which I belonged.  We did not get mixed messages about life principles.  We may have strayed from them at times, but we had no doubts what principles were to guide us.

I was blessed by the public schools I attended.  Especially, the schools in Cincinnati did a splendid job.  They ranked very high in academic training and also physical fitness.  Early in grade school, we had city wide competition in gymnastics.  We were encouraged to participate in a wide variety of sports to keep us healthy.  Our high school was located across the street from the University of Cincinnati.  We were encouraged to take college courses that counted for both high school and college credit.  My high school education was so good that the first year and a half of college was mainly review.  To summarize, I am very pleased with the public school systems in which I was educated.

The public schools I attended in Cincinnati were highly integrated.  They were located in some of the oldest areas of the city.  The buildings were some of the oldest buildings in those areas.  The point is that the education I received was available to all students of every race and background.

Times have changed since the 50’s and 60’s.  Public schools had their own set of principles.  They were:

Parents have the responsibility to raise their children

Schools are to cooperate with parents to provide academic abilities to prepare students for success.

Schools impart knowledge and a thirst for learning for a lifetime.

Schools give students the tools to continue to learn for the rest of their lives.

Schools emphasized what it takes to be a productive citizen and appreciate our heritage.

Schools emphasized personal responsibility and accountability.

So, what has happened since those days?  A different mindset has moved into our universities and taken over the training of future teachers.  Teachers’ unions have developed extraordinary influence over the educational process and are led by people with a very different set of principles.  Parents are now viewed as pests who need to be controlled or ignored.  The education establishment sees themselves as the primary source for raising children.  Their purpose is to indoctrinate not educate.  Statist Collectivism is the ultimate goal of Public Education.  The motto of the public education is “of the state, by the state, and for the state”.  But statist collectivism has a fatal flaw.  It contradicts human nature.  That is why it has failed, does fail, and always will fail.  It demands people be compliant and submissive to a little group of pinheads that run the system.  The problem has always been for statist collectivists that people are not compliant by nature.  And they certainly aren’t submissive.  By nature, people love to make their own choices.  So, they rebel.  That is when the statist collectivists transition into dictators to crush the rebels.  We see it happening all over the world.  In spite of hundreds of years of watching statist collectivism fail, it is still being promoted by our educational systems.

But it is not the only thing being taught to our children in state run schools.  The world of education is full of fads.  It is much like the fitness world.  About every year a fad guru is brought into the school system to promote his or her own fad for indoctrinating students.  Presentations are made, books are sold.  Teachers are trained.  Then the new curriculum is used for about a year or two and another guru shows up and the process begins again.  The old materials are stored away to rot and millions of dollars of materials sit in the dark.

Notice how little emphasis is on academics.  With so much time spent indoctrinating our children, academics is almost forgotten.  Look at the test results for students attending public schools.  Then, compare that to the amount of money we spend on public education.  It’s no wonder that millions of parents are thrilled that teacher unions refuse to go back to work.  They don’t want those teachers anywhere near their children.  They want the unions abolished and new people brought in to really teach what is necessary and helpful to train their children to be productive citizens of this great nation.

What can parents do about the mess our schools are in? First, they have to unite to revolutionize public education.  The leaders of the educational system are being trained in how to suppress parents.  They learn how to get around parental opposition.  So, parents have to learn how to fight back.  Overwhelm the school administration with parental presence.  Go to the meetings.  Demand control over the curriculum.  Make it clear who is in charge of raising your children.  Pack the school boards.  Demand input as to who is hired to teach your children.  There are many wonderful teachers out there who really want to teach your children academics.  They are just as discouraged by the failure of public education as you are.  Form an alliance with them.

If the system won’t cooperate, take a close look at private schools.  If they are too expensive, demand school vouchers.  But, be very careful as to what private school you choose.  Do your research.  Some private schools are following the public schools’ example.  Many parents are choosing home schooling.  That is an option that is growing.  Parents are forming co-ops to help with home schooling.  Both private schools and home schooling mean sacrifice for parents.  Count the cost.

Here is the bottom line.  Public schools are broken.  The system has been hijacked by people with a whole different set of principles than the parents of students.  COVID has unmasked the putrid state of public schools in general and teachers’ unions in particular.  The people in charge of the unions are not qualified to have anything to do with our children.  I saw a quote from an educator this morning that says it all.  They said, “Public education isn’t educating our children. They are indoctrinating them”. 

The only practical solution is for the nation’s leaders to see the parents of America abandon the public schools as they are and demand change. 

I just finished watching a town hall meeting in Virginia near Washington D.C..  Students and parents and doctors shared the disaster public education has foisted on students during closing of schools.  Parents shared how they had organized and protested the abuse of their children by the public schools.  The school administrations refused to listen to them, but declared war on them.  Some parents became so fed up that they enrolled their children in private schools or began to home school them.  Did that cost them dearly financially and time wise?  Yes, but the peace they experienced being free to control their children’s education was such a relief from the torment of oppression from the public school that they were glad to pay the price.

Let the transformation begin! 

 

 

 

WHAT CRISIS?

Why do Dems not label the situation on the southern border a “crisis”?  It’s because it is not a crisis to them.  It is their dream come true!  They want chaos on the border…or anywhere else for that matter.  Chaos is their goal.  They celebrate when they see hordes flooding across the border and the agents are overwhelmed.  They also celebrate mobs attacking police, burning government buildings, looting stores, insane murder of black children in Chicago, etc.. 

Read the textbooks of the left and the statist collectivists (Socialists, Communists, Progressives, Fascists, Fabians).  They start by creating chaos.  Then comes anarchy followed by a demand from the masses for “order”.  The left promises order and rushes in with their totalitarian system and takes over and crushes the opposition with massive force.  We’ve seen the process over and over since the late 1800’s. 

How many times in recent years have we watched the news and wondered why the left seems bent on starting another civil war.  They divide us.  They fan the flames of hatred.  They push post modernism.  Why?  Because Post Modernism is chaos.  It destroys all the basic elements of civilization.  It under cuts  science, math, the judicial system, medicine, and government.  It denies truth and trumps reality with perception.  It is simply insanity. 

Why were the Dems so insistent on passing the 1.9 trillion dollar “Covid Relief Package” when only 9% went to Covid Relief?  It does not make sense. The result will be massive inflation and national debt and financial instability.  It’s a dream package for them because it will result in financial chaos.

So, when you just can’t understand when our leaders make insane decisions, remember chaos is their goal.  It is a necessary step for them to take complete control.  That’s what they have been taught for decades in our institutions of “higher” learning.  

Don’t lose hope.  We’ve been here before.  Woodrow Wilson tried to instill statist collectivism.  FDR’s National Recovery Act became a socialist nightmare for our country. Hitler loved it.  The Third Reich copied it. But WW II blew it out of the water.  Be encouraged.  Our Constitutional Representative Republic will be victorious over the insanity of the left once again.

 

 

MATH IS RACIST…ARE YOU NUTS?

For decades Liberals have accused all opponents of being Racists.  It makes no difference who you are.  You can be a Civil Rights leader, black, white, oriental, native American, you are labelled a Racist if you oppose a liberal.  Recently, Math has been labelled Racist.  What!!?  How is this happening?  Read on and I’ll answer the question.

The answer is Post Modernism.  I ran into this philosophy in 1960 when I arrived at college.  Post Modernism was being taught in the freshman Philosophy class.  I was enrolled in the pre-engineering program.  When you find out what Post Modernism is, it will be clear why I had a real problem with it.

The philosophy can be summarized by two basic points:  1) There is no Truth.  2) Reality is trumped by perception.  You can imagine the problem.  All but one of our classes were teaching us “Truths” and helping us discover reality.  The Philosophy class was telling students the opposite.  We ended up dismissing Post Modernism as absurd and we moved on.  I can’t remember one student who bought into it.  But, hold on.  It’s back!

Post Modernism is a reaction to Modernism.  Modernism goes back many years.  The essentials of our civilization are based on Modernism.  It held that there are truths and there is reality.  We all remember science classes where we learned “truths”.  They were called “laws” or “axioms” or “theorems” or “principles”.  These are statements of what was determined to be factual.  All sciences are full of them.  We memorized them, studied them and developed equations to measure them.  We applied them to useful applications of each discipline.  Post Modernism holds that all truth is relative. (Of course, that is a statement about truth that destroys the argument.) Post Modernists are telling our young people that there are no incorrect answers to math problems.  There are many answers.  Sane people would dismiss such an idea as absurd.  But, in our racially charged society, Post Modernists have cloaked their absurdities in Race to give them legitimacy.  They are claiming that only white people are Modernists and that Modernism is a product of white supremacy.  They assume all people of color should be Post Modernists and should abandon Truth because its Racist.

If our civilization were to buy into such a philosophy in big numbers, civilization as we know it would collapse.  Science would be meaningless.  Of course, as we are seeing, math would cease to exist. Medicine, Psychology, the Judicial system, would be in chaos. In fact, that is the goal of Post Modernism…Chaos.  That’s what all the riots in our cities are about.  They want to create massive chaos.  Why?  Because the only solution to chaos is complete totalitarian rule.  During times of chaos, the people will demand someone take control and straighten out the mess.  They will tolerate a dictator or totalitarian system to “fix” the problem.  This scheme is not new.  Statist Totalitarian leaders have used this plot over and over for centuries to grab power.

Post Modernism also explains the surge in the Gender Confusion Movement.  For them, perception trumps reality.  If you perceive you are a different gender than your birth gender, that becomes fact.  Society must accommodate your perception not the medical reality.  It makes no difference that medical science has found that almost all children who question their birth gender and think about being the opposite change back as they go through puberty.  That fact is ignored and the Movement demands that the child be given chemicals and operations that can’t be reversed at an early age.  It’s no wonder that doctors are calling such actions “child abuse”. 

As Post Modernism infiltrates our education system, we will see our civilization crumble into chaos.  Racist Math is only a small sample of the absurdities that will follow.  We must demand our teachers be Realists if we hope to survive.  Parents have to be informed as to what is being taught in the schools their children attend.  If there are signs that the flames of hatred and division and chaos are being stoked by the staff, demand change before it is too late.  Hold on!  I’ve just been informed that Oregon is looking seriously at altering its math program to remove “racism”.  What would be altered?  “Correct Answers” and specified processes to arrive at correct answers would be changed because some how they were developed by “white supremacy”.  Basically, what is being proposed is extreme racism.  The proponents of this nonsense are postulating that only white people are capable of handling math as it’s been taught forever.  They assume all other races are inferior.  Now, that’s real racism. And it is a blatant lie.  I’ve taught various courses in science and math to every conceivable race and all races are able to grasp and use it successfully. 

Consider how important basic math skills to our civilization.  Just about every job demands basic math skills…accountants, store clerks, mechanics, secretaries, administrators, teachers, truck drivers, etc. all need to do basic math.  Without basic math skills, nobody could pass an entrance exam into any field or institution or school.  Imagine how far a candidate for any position or school were to get if they answered a math problem with “there is no correct answer”.  A diploma from any Oregon school wouldn’t be worth a piece of toilet paper.  Graduates would have to immediately be placed on welfare because they couldn’t get a job. 

If you are the parent or grandparent of a school age child, you are in a very difficult position.  Many of the public school systems are broken.  Look what the teachers’ unions are doing to children during the pandemic.  Look at the test scores of public school grads.  Many of these people aren’t qualified to teach our children.  They shouldn’t be allowed within 100 yards of them.  They have traded in education for indoctrination into beliefs and practices that we have no desire for our children to learn.  They go to extremes to keep parents from knowing what is being taught.  Why?  They know there would be a rebellion.  So, what can we do?  We can put our children in private schools.  But that is very expensive and may not be nearby.  We can home school.  But we may not have the skills and time for that.  Vouchers are a reasonable alternative, but you will have to fight the teachers’ union for those.  Whatever you do, be informed.  Demand that you be given access to what is being taught in each class…yes, even math.  Organize parent groups to oversee what is being instilled into your children.  Get to know the teachers and administrators.  If you see a problem, speak up.  Remember, you are paying these people.  I wish you well.

These hymns are just a small sample of songs and hymns of the Christian faith that have stirred the hearts of souls over the decades and even centuries.  The dates that follow the titles are the approximate dates they first were published.  The next number is the numbers of generations that have sung these classics until the year 2000.

You will notice that these are victorious, inspiring, joyful, majestic, triumphant, uplifting, and edifying.  People have been transformed by these songs and hymns for centuries, but we are in danger of seeing such music cancelled, forgotten, and erased.  Such music has been preserved by the church for generations, but now the current church has put these masterpieces aside.  Many in our churches don’t even recognize the classics.   Somewhere around the turn of the millennium, music of faith took a turn.  Hymnals with the classics were put on a shelf.  That included music written for the special days of the church calendar.  As you can see from the list, much of the greatest music ever written has been preserved for many generations.  But now it is in danger of disappearing.  Why?  Why are we cancelling that which has proven so meaningful?

 Part of the reason is that faith music is in a change mode.  The instruments are changing.  Hymnals are gone.  The congregation is not participating.  What we see now is primarily a small “worship team” doing a performance for the congregation. Why are these changes taking place?  Here are some observations.

As a society, we are less musically inclined. Financial concerns have caused many schools to cut back on teaching music.  Music used to be just as much of the curriculum as math, history, etc..  Not anymore.  Students used to be expected to at least learn how to read music, carry a tune, and appreciate the classics.  We were encouraged to join a musical group and learn to play at least one instrument.  Church congregations were more like a choir than spectators.  With the decline in the public’s acumen for music has come the decline in music of faith.  The glorious compositions that filled our sanctuaries with sounds and lyrics that lifted us to spiritual heights have become choruses accompanied by a guitar, drums, and a keyboard.  To be sure, there are some good choruses that are being produced and some very talented worship leaders.  I have also observed the current fare of choruses tend to be morose and shallow in comparison with what we had before the turn of the millennium.

Another factor has been the trend to make worship casual.  The music has become casual as well.  Worship has become nothing special.  The intent was to make everyone feel at ease and be non-threatening.  That’s fine except worship is special.  Biblically, worship is always a special event.  Worship is when we encounter God.  We praise Him, lift Him up high and holy. We listen for His Truth. We commit to follow His Word.  We join with others to adore Him.

The purpose of music of faith is changing.  As a pastor for many decades, I told the worship leaders that worship music set the table for the Word of God that was to follow.  Worship music was to stimulate the congregation’s appetite for what God’s Word had for them that day.  I made it clear that music was critical to the worship service.  It was very important to the event.  Worship is something we participate in; it is not just something we observe.  During the spiritual revival led by John and Charles Wesley, hymns were used as a means of discipleship.  Literacy was low, so Charles wrote thousands of hymns filled with Christian doctrine and put it to music of the day.  The congregations learned the great truths of Scripture by repeatedly singing lyrics filled with core beliefs. A few times in the last few years, I have been successful in convincing a worship team to lead the congregation in a classic hymn.  The results have been astounding.  The people began to sing along enthusiastically and loudly.  Soon, they were clapping and moving their feet with the music.  People clapped at the end and sat down sweating and smiling…ready to hear what God had to share with them. Music is vital!

Music of faith has always been cultural.  Various people groups produce their own style of music of faith.  The Jesus Revolution of the 70’s produced a whole new style.  Southern Gospel delights many.  Spirituals have inspired many for generations.  Fanny Crosby wrote enough songs to have her own hymnal.  European composers had great skills that still stir us today.  Previous generations have preserved for us these great classics, and we can’t allow them to be cancelled or forgotten.  They need to be worked into our worship services with regularity and we all will be better for it.
